Shaanan Streett

“A lighthearted and streamlined reading experience that describes "faithfully and effortlessly the inner dynamics of a young fringe group.” – Ami Friedman, Israel HaYom

Elnathan Ofek, a young Jerusalem skater, dreams of going to the prestigious art school Bezalel. Between working in his uncle’s carpentry shop and skating with his teammates, he also carves out time to draw on the walls of Jerusalem. When a skater that Elnathan’s skating team despises turns out to be the key to realizing his dream, he has to navigate conflicting loyalties to his friends, his family, and himself.

In colorful and atmospheric language, Shaanan Streett tells the story of Jerusalem, the city closest to his heart, and offers readers an original and human Bildungsroman.
